Cake Handling
WE USE BUTTER.
We use the freshest ingredients possible in everything we make at Courtina's Cakery. One of these essential ingredients is real butter because it is the taste of homemade baking. Baked goods made with butter taste great, but only at the right temperature. Cold butter lacks flavor and can have an unpleasant taste and texture. For your protection and in compliance with the heath department regulations we have to refrigerate most of our products. We suggest following the handy guide below to best enjoy Courtina's Cakery baked goods.
Room Temperature
We strongly advise every customer to follow this simple instruction—serve Courtina's Cakes at Room Temperature.
Why serve cake, cupcakes and cookies at room temperature? Because they taste better!
Why refrigerate the cake? The health department requires that we store perishable goods at a cool 41° F
How long will it take to hit room temp? Cucpakes, pastries & slices: 5-15 minutes .
Cake (6" - 9"): 1-3 hours. Bigger cakes take more time. See the chart below.
THESE ARE SERVING RECOMMENDATIONS ONLY. PLEASE DO NOT STORE YOUR BAKERY ITEMS AT ROOM TEMPERATURE.
In a rush and can't wait? We don't recommend it but...you can microwave items for no more than 10 seconds
